Built for kids from the first line of code
GuestBall handles information about children, so the protections are part of the database itself, not just the screens. Here's exactly how it works.
Coaches are verified first
A person on our team checks every coach before they can see a single player. No verification, no access.
Parents stay in charge
Kids don't have accounts. Every request goes to a parent, and nothing is booked until the parent says yes.
Only what coaches need
First name and last initial, city, positions and highlights. Never a full name, address or school.
Private photos and video
Media is stored privately and shown only to verified coaches through links that expire.
Only what a coach needs
A parent or guardian creates every player profile. Kids never have accounts and never use GuestBall directly.
We show verified coaches
- First name and last initial
- City, and how far the family will travel
- Sport, age group, level, positions, bats and throws
- Photo, highlights, GameChanger and Perfect Game links, coach references
We never ask for
- Full last name or birth date
- Home address or school
- The child's own phone, email or social accounts
What the system won't allow
No browsing while signed out
Nothing about any player is visible on the open web or to search engines.
No access before verification
An unverified coach account sees no players, photos or videos at all.
No contact without consent
A parent's email and phone are released only after they accept a request or reach out first.
No booking without a parent
Only the player's own parent can accept a request.
No permanent media links
Photos and videos load through private links that expire after an hour.
No direct messages to kids
In-app messages are only between a verified coach and a parent or guardian, and our safety team can review them if something is reported.
See something? Tell us.
Every player profile, coach post and booking request has a Report link. Reports go straight to our safety team, who can hide a profile, take down a post, or remove a coach's access.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
Tips for families
- Confirm the team and tournament on the organizer's website before the weekend.
- Ask the coach about the team's background-check policy.
- A parent or trusted adult should attend games and handle all communication.
- Keep your child's personal number and social accounts off the conversation.
- Check your own organization's rules about guest playing.
