GuestBall ("we", "us") helps youth baseball coaches find guest players for tournament weekends. This policy explains what we collect, who can see it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@guestball.com.
Who uses GuestBall
Accounts are only for adults: parents or legal guardians, and coaches or team managers. Children do not create accounts and do not use GuestBall directly. A parent or guardian creates and controls each player profile.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email, phone number, and your role. For coaches: team, league or organization, and the details you give us so we can verify you.
- Player profiles (entered by a parent): the player's first name and last initial, age group, level, positions, batting and throwing hand, optional jersey number, home city, how far the family will travel, open weekends, a short bio, a profile photo, highlight videos or links, and coach references.
- Activity: booking requests, coach board posts and replies, in-app messages between coaches and parents, and reports you send us.
We do not ask for a player's full last name, birth date, street address or school, and we ask parents not to include them.
Who can see it
- Player profiles, photos and videos are visible only to the parent who created them, to coaches we have verified, and to GuestBall staff for safety review. They are never public.
- A parent's email and phone are shared with a coach only after the parent accepts that coach's booking request, or when the parent replies to that coach's post.
- A coach's name and team appear on their posts and requests. Their email and phone are shared with parents they connect with in the same way.
Children's privacy
Player profiles describe children, including some under 13. This information is provided by a parent or guardian, who confirms they are the child's parent or legal guardian and consents to the profile being shown to verified coaches. Parents can review, change, hide or delete a player's profile at any time from the My players page, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@guestball.com. We do not use children's information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How we use information
To run GuestBall: showing profiles to verified coaches, sending and tracking booking requests, verifying coaches, handling reports, keeping the service secure, and contacting you about your account. We do not sell personal information and we do not show ads.
Service providers
We use Supabase to store data and files, Resend to send sign-in and notification emails, and Netlify to host the website. They process data only to provide these services to us.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep information while your account is active. Deleting a player profile removes it and its photos and videos. To delete your whole account, email hello@guestball.com from your account email and we will delete it within 7 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your information. California residents have additional rights under California law, which you can exercise by emailing us.
Changes
If we make material changes we'll update the date above and let account holders know by email.
