Why we verify every coach
The profiles are of kids, so no one sees them until a person on our team confirms you're a real coach. When you sign up we'll ask for:
Your team
Team name, and your league or organization.
A way to confirm
A team website or GameChanger page that lists you, a league contact, or a reference.
Your word
That you'll communicate only with parents and follow your league's safety and guest-player rules.
Most coaches are verified within a day.
Coach questions
Why do I need to be verified?
Because the profiles are of kids. Before you can see any player, someone on our team confirms you're a real coach using your team website or GameChanger page, your league, or a reference. It usually takes about a day.
Who handles guest player rules?
You do. Tournaments and organizations have their own guest player rules. USSSA, for example, allows a limited number of guests per event and requires a guest player application before the event. Make sure your team follows them.
When is a player actually on my roster?
Only when the request shows Confirmed by parent. Until then it's a request. We email you as soon as the parent answers, and you can message them in the meantime.
Can I message a player directly?
No. In-app messages go to the parent or guardian only. That's a GuestBall rule, and it's best practice in youth sports.
What's the coach board?
Post what you need for a tournament: age group, level, positions, weekend and city. Parents with a fit can reach out to you.
